I wasn't always a runner.

In fact, I started running in middle school track and hated every minute of it. I quickly decided that dancing was more my style and spent 20 years as a ballerina, a sport I truly loved.

After marrying my husband, Ryan, I moved across the country from my home state of Michigan to New Mexico. After years of insisting I would never run again, I decided to challenge myself by signing up for my first half marathon as a way to get moving and create a new goal.

I hired a trainer, followed a training plan, and spent a year preparing for that race. When race day finally arrived, it was one of the most miserable experiences I had ever had. I finished, but I walked away convinced that running was not for me.

Three years later, in 2020, I decided to give running one more chance. This time, something was different. What started as a way to get outside, manage stress, and improve my health became a passion. I finally understood what runners meant when they talked about a "runner's high." Running became something that made me feel strong, confident, and capable.

Through my own journey, I learned that becoming a runner is not just about following a training plan. It is about building habits, overcoming mental barriers, and creating a sustainable relationship with running.

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and UESCA Certified Running Coach, I combine my knowledge of behavior change with personalized running coaching to help others create the same lasting transformation. I know what it feels like to struggle with running, start over, and wonder if you are "really" a runner—because I have been there too.

My goal through Precision Running Strategies is to help every athlete feel supported, confident, and empowered in their running journey.

Outside of Running

When I am not running, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Ryan, and our rescue Australian Shepherds, Skylar and Alani. We love hiking, long walks, traveling, exploring local breweries, coffee shops, baking, crocheting, and cheering on Michigan State University football.

I am also a proud Air Force wife and love embracing the military spouse lifestyle wherever our journey takes us.
